Prairieview is having a food drive to collect food for the Woodridge Pantry. Non-perishable donations can be brought in through the 24th. Any items would be appreciated!
Movie Night permission slips went home last week. Please get these in right away if your child plans to attend.
Family Book Club Night is Wednesday, April 29th @ 6:30 p.m. Simply go to the Center Cass 66 District website, click on "Prairieview", and read more about this great school event! You can then print a registration form and send it in. Please note that registration has been extended.
Science – The invention/form is due Monday. Please stop by during the Open House Thursday to see all of the neat inventions. In addition, we will continue our study of Earth Science (chapter 7). There will be a quiz over Lesson 1 on Thursday. Students should know the properties of minerals (see sheet) and about the three different types of rocks.
Social Studies - We will continue our study of the Southwest (ch. 10). The Southwest Region Map Quiz will be Friday. Please remember there is no word bank.
Spelling – We will work on lesson 28 this week (skipping a few lessons). The list will go home on Monday. The spelling test will be on Friday.
Language Arts – We will begin our study of pronouns (ch. 6). Please review pronouns with your child so they are ready for their first assessment on Friday.
Reading -Students have been introduced to Personification and Pourquoi Tales. This week they will have a chance to write their own Pourquoi Tale.
Math -We will continue our study of multiplying by two numbers (ch. 10). It is important that your child reviews their multiplication facts. If your child is struggling with their facts, they will have difficulty in this chapter. The Chapter 10 test will be at the end of next week.
