There is still 6 weeks left for this trimester. This is the time of year that I see some students start slipping into summer mode and not trying as hard. Please keep an eye on your child and talk with your child if you see this happening.
This is the last week we will be collecting box tops for the year. Please have any box tops in by Thursday. Thanks!
Science – We will continue our study of Earth Science (ch. 7). Students will study how weathering and erosion affect rocks (lesson 3).
Social Studies - The Ch. 10 Southwest test will be Wednesday. Please help your child review for the test.
Spelling – We will work on lesson 30 this week. The spelling test will be on Friday.
Language Arts – The chapter 6 test over pronouns will be on Tuesday. This area can be challenging for some students. Please help your child review for the test.
Reading -We will continue our poetry unit. Students will be introduced to different types of poetry and then will try writing some on their own. In addition, information on their poetry performance (due Friday May 8th) will be handed out. Please take a look at this on Monday.
Math -The class will begin their study of division with remainders (ch. 11). This can be a challenging chapter. If your child struggles with their basic division facts, please review these at home.
